GOTHENBURG RUNZA® RESTAURANT EARNS TOP HONORS

Jeff Whiting, manager of the Gothenburg Runza® Restaurant location, was recently awarded the "Neighborhood Marketing Award," at the company's annual meeting.

The Neighborhood Marketing Award was presented to Jeff and his wife, Roxanne, for devoting many hours of time and effort to their community's betterment. The recipient of this award gets involved in community projects and believes in the importance of giving back to the community. Jeff and Roxanne made an enormous impact on the community of Gothenburg in 2002. Two of their biggest successes were initiating the 1st Annual Kids Parade sponsored by Runza® during the Harvest Festival and bringing the Veggie Tales movie to the Gothenburg Theater. From the Chamber of Commerce to school partnerships and the tourism committee to other local events, the Gothenburg location worked very hard to further establish Runza® as a community leader. For all of their hard work Jeff and Roxanne will receive an all expense paid trip to Copper Mountain, Colorado.

Runza® Restaurants - famous for the OvenStuff'd® Sandwich with its delicious blend of ground beef, cabbage, onions and secret spices baked inside homemade bread; fresh ground hamburgers; and onion rings - operates and franchises 66 restaurants in Nebraska, Kansas, Colorado and Iowa.
