LINCOLN RUNZA® RESTAURANTS AND MANAGERS EARN TOP HONORS Lincoln, NE -

Several Runza® Restaurant locations in Lincoln were recently recognized at the company's annual meeting.

Ryan Peterson manager of the 11th & Cornhusker Runza® Restaurant location, was awarded the "Team Player of the Year" award. Mr. Peterson was selected for proving himself as a loyal and dedicated employee through many years of quality work for Runza® Restaurants. He is more than willing to offer assistance to fellow managers and is willing to relocate to wherever he is needed the most. He will enjoy an all expense paid trip for two to Copper Mountain, Colorado for this honor.

Joe Niedbalski, manager of the 27th & Pine Lake location, was honored as the "Rookie Manager of the Year." Recipients of this award have shown tremendous leadership and motivational skills. Joe will enjoy an all expense paid trip for two to Copper Mountain, Colorado.

Matt Bouwens, manager of the 33rd & Highway 2 location, was honored as the "Recruiter/Developer of the Year." Matt received this award for his personnel skills capable of creating, teaching, and grooming new assistants/managerial candidates. Matt has the ability to recognize his employees' potential and motivating them to make Runza® a career choice. He will enjoy an all expense paid trip for two to West Palm Beach, Florida for this honor.

The 56th & Holdrege location earned second place in the "Most Improved Store Profit" in higher sales volume category. This award is presented to a Runza® Restaurant location that is well managed, has shown a sales increase from the previous year, as well as an increase in profitability.

The "Store of the Year" award was presented to the 70th location in higher sales category and to the Edgewood (56th & Hwy 2) location in basic sales category. This award is presented to the Runza® Restaurants locations that has shown an sales increase from the previous year, an improvement in profitability, as well as outstanding customer service and food quality.

Jason Dibbert earned the Assistant Manager of the Year award for 2002. This award is given to Runza® assistant managers who operate a clean and organized store and act as a motivational force to all store employees. Jason will also receive an all expense paid trip for two to Copper Mountain, Colorado for this honor.
